A Childs Christmas View

Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Don’t forget, Childlike Faith.

Mark 10:13-15

Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 15Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

The Titanic Problem

There was a titanic problem. People are putting their faith and trust in the things such as the titanic. This ship was the unsinkable, This ship was the work of many master minds and put together with the finest of material and tested repeatedly, and this ship was the icon of future and the prosperity of the known world at the time. In the end it wasn’t anything the could trust.  Do we not hangs our hats on the same things today?

There was a titanic solution. Two of the characters in the clip have a solution. The the solution is to save lives at all cost. One by the name of Jack gave his life so that Rose could live. The other character that offered the solution to the problem was the life boat capitan that called for all of the boats to be tied together and then  told the ladies to double up on other life boats so that more could be rescued. The life boat capitan didn’t have to lose his life but he had to be willing too.

There was a titanic tragedy. Those who had the ability to go back and rescue  more chose not to. Even after being prompted by one of their own in the  life boat to think of something more than themselves,  they chose not to and over 1800 died that day. Though the risk of sinking the life boat is possible, is not the life rescued is what really matters?

We see the titanic problem, we know the Titanic solution, and the titanic tragedy will be ours to bear if we chose to think of nothing more than my life.
